In the lead up to the Atlanta Paralympics, James was asked to speak to a workplace about his injury; and he noticed that people were listening to what he had to say. He was speaking from experience, and not just waffling about something he did not care about. He has been doing it ever since, sharing his story with other workers.

In January 2002, James Wood established C & B Safe Pty Ltd, a safety information and training consultancy across Australia and New Zealand.

Drawing from personal experience, C & B Safe develops and delivers thought provoking and informative presentations. These presentations provide an insight into the real effects of workplace injury and challenge audience members to consider their safety responsibilities.
